Trust is the product. This page explains how The Latent Daily reports the news, how we use automation, and what you can expect from every story.

1. We write in our own words

We never copy other publications' text. Our stories summarize, explain and contextualize information, and short quotations are always attributed.

2. Every story cites its sources

Each article ends with a Sources box linking to all the material used. We prefer primary sources — official lab announcements, papers, regulatory texts, benchmark leaderboards — over secondary reporting.

3. Unconfirmed means unconfirmed

Rumors, leaks and claims that appear only on social media or community forums are labelled Unconfirmed in red, both on cards and inside the story. We update or retract them as facts emerge.

4. How we use AI

Much of our coverage is drafted by our AI Desk, an automated pipeline that reads a curated list of primary sources, drafts stories, explainers and guides following this policy, and validates every file before publication. Everything produced this way is attributed to the AI Desk and lists its sources; pieces written by our human editors are attributed to Editorial.

5. No duplicates, no clickbait

Each fact is reported once. Headlines describe what happened.

6. Corrections

Spotted an error? Email editors@thelatentdaily.com. Corrections are made promptly and material corrections are noted at the bottom of the story with an updated date.

7. Reviews and ratings

Ratings in the tools directory and in reviews reflect editorial judgement at the time of the last verification date shown on the page. Companies cannot pay for ratings or placement.
